Standard visitor safety speech
Opener
In case of emergency and the building must be evacuated, discuss mustering point location. Report all injuries to the supervisor. Remember the "5-10-15 FT rule.", which is know your surroundings at 5’ 10’ and 15.’
Forklifts

Be alert.

Stay away from busy Freight aisles and dock areas.

If near a forklift, make eye contact with the forklift operator so they see you and you see them.

Walking surfaces

Watch your step for uneven surfaces

Avoid trash and other debris

Steer clear of spilled liquids

Footwear – recommend no open-toed shoes and be mindful of walking surfaces in heels

Must be trained on the cart to operate

Always keep arms and legs inside

Use horn around blind corners and pedestrians
